City clinched their third Premier League title in six years, their third league crown under three different managers. This year, Manchester City dominated the league under the management of Pep Guardiola. In the thirty-three games it took them to become champions, Manchester City won an astonishing twenty-eight games, drawing three and losing only two.

Following their title triumph, questions have been asked whether Pep will rest his players or continue to play the likes of; Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne an Leroy Sane. As the 2018 World Cup in Russia approaches, Pep has a big decision to make. Many of his title-winning squad will be heading to Russia this summer for their respective nations and Pep will not want his players to take their foot off the gas for the remaining five matches. Tickets for the 2018 World Cup can now be purchased here at Football Ticket Pad.

Most recently Pep was questioned on the tactics that he had used in recent games which led to Manchester City to lose three consecutive games despite dominating all teams all season. When asked for an explanation, the Manchester City manager told The Guardian that dropping Raheem Sterling for Ilkay Gundogan disrupted Manchester City's’ attacking rhythm, proven by their results against Liverpool.

It has been a truly magnificent season for Manchester City, winning a league and cup double with the Premier League and Carabao Cup respectively. The excellence of Pep Guardiola has come to light as his players have excelled this year. The likes of Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane have proved to be integral cogs in the style of play demanded by Guardiola and his coaches, with Kevin de Bruyne most notably - racking up a total of fifteen assists so far, his career best.

City starts are fast becoming household names and the World Cup is the perfect platform for them to showcase their talents before beginning their title defence next season. This title win serves as a special one for his more experienced players who may not have featured as prominently as previous seasons. Important players like Aguero, have struggled with injuries and sometimes played second-fiddle to Gabriel Jesus in attack, yet he has still netted 21 goals. Meanwhile, club captain Vincent Kompany is a leader and still remains a vital part of the Manchester City dressing room despite missing the majority of the season. Likewise, David Silva continues to flourish at the Etihad and joins the quartet of Aguero, Kompany and Yaya Toure in clinching his third league winners medal for the club.

Looking back at their season, a key moment followed after their 1-1 draw at home to Everton. City then went on an impressive twenty game winning run in all competitions. This gave the players the belief that, early on in the season they can go on to win silverware. The Manchester City manager told Goal.com “I believe winning at Stamford Bridge gave us the confidence that we could do it, because last season against other title contenders we were not so good”.

Many would say this is the greatest Manchester City side in their history. There has never been a better time to purchase Manchester City tickets as they look to assert their dominance on English football for many years to come under the guidance of Pep Guardiola.
